The Brookville Aerie #983 Fraternal Order of Eagles was instituted by authority of the Grand Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles on the 13th day of February, in the Year 1905. The Grand Aerie Seal was affixed on the 22nd day of April, in the year 1905. The original Charter has 69 members.
The Brookville Eagles held their first meetings on Main Street above what was then the Green Lantern Bar and Grill. Sometime in the 1950's, the Aerie purchased the building at 270 Main Street beside the S&T Bank. The Aerie has remained at this location since that time. As of February 28th, 2005 the Aerie has 1092 Eagle members and 280 Ladies Auxiliary members.
